Place.
We sat on our knees on Humboldt Boulevard, near the Bloomingdale Line. We discussed how sitting on our knees really forces you to stop and consider. There was a stillness in the air. After that, we walked around for a little bit while our dinner cooked in the oven.
This is a collaborative exercise in mindfulness. A group initiative to act out and understand our lives in relation to one another. We rely on each other, on the green grass, on blue skies, changing seasons; the serendipitous swell of each and every living thing dependently co-arising together. Through this project we hope to manifest these ideas intentionally in our daily lives. To creatively address the fundamental reality of our connection to all things.
20 days in length. 20 different actions chosen at random. We will all do our best, knowing this project is not about the success or failure of completing each individual task. It is, instead, about inclusion, about welcoming all experience, all attempts. Do not feel discouraged. Be heartened by the knowledge that we are all struggling, all attempting to enter a greater mindfulness of our place within the world, and within relation to one another.
Let's Co-Arise Together!!!
